Last night, Olathe police fatally shot an armed man while responding to a disturbance in the 400 block of North Logan. That man had been assaulting an older man, who suffered life-threatening injuries as a result. The officer is on paid administrative leave -- which is a standard step after any incident like this -- while a team of police from other jurisdictions review the shooting.
