An 18-year-old man who was shot in the head Sunday night died today from his injuries, Kansas City police said.
Cortez L. Williams suffered his mortal injuries just hours after he graduated from Paseo Academy, a high school specializing in fine arts. Williams was in a vehicle parked next to another vehicle in the 4800 block of E. 40th Terrace about 8:25 p.m. Sunday, police said. The occupants were talking to each other when a third vehicle pulled up and at least one occupant opened fire.
