Mo. couple accused of locking their kids out of the house for hours at a time

A couple from Benton, Mo., is facing criminal charges after they allegedly locked their kids, ages 13 and 10, out of the house for about six hours a day while the couple went to work. From the Southeast Missourian:

They were often given oatmeal up to three times a day, according to the news release. The couple started to leave a key outside the home in case the children needed it, but the children told police they didn't use it because they were scared of what would happen.
