For the second time this week, the authorities were forced to shut down I-70 west of Topeka for several hours.
Pulled over by a trooper, Paul R. Berry of Canton, Mich., allegedly threatened suicide before barricading himself inside his 32-foot motor home for about seven hours. Worried that he might open fire, authorities closed a 25-mile section of I-70, causing a long detour.
This follows Monday's shenanigans, when the same stretch of road was closed over a potential haz-mat situation.
