A local woman -- Tonya M. Green, 44, of KC -- is accused of setting her boyfriend on fire last month, leaving him with third-degree burns over 56 percent of his body, Christine Vendel reports. Jackson County prosecutors filed charges against Green on Thursday.
The attack allegedly happened in early June, and the victim was in a coma for nearly a month.
