17 DUI arrests at sobriety checkpoint in downtown KC

Kansas City police made 17 DUI arrests at a checkpoint late Saturday and early (Sunday).

Police said in a release today that officers stopped 701 westbound vehicles at the checkpoint, which ran from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. at 13th and Pennsylvania streets. Officers also reported one hazardous moving violation, two seatbelt violations and two cases of interference.
