On Thursday, Craig Kahler was convicted of fatally shooting his wife, two daughters and his wife's grandmother near Burlingame, Kan., in November 2009, the Columbia Tribune reports. His 10-year-old son ran from the house and survived. The defense said that Kahler was upset because his wife had reportedly left him for another woman.
Kahler, who used to be Columbia's power and water director, could be sentenced to death -- though keep in mind that Kansas hasn't executed anyone since the 1960s.
