A botched marijuana deal apparently led to a shooting Tuesday night that peppered a neighborhood east of the River Market with more than 50 rounds of gunfire.
Vehicles, homes and a business sustained damage from the gunshots, which were reported about 10 p.m. starting near Fifth Street and Troost Avenue. Police found dozens of shell casings from several weapons, including an AK-47, along several city blocks of Fifth Street in the Columbus Park neighborhood. Six bullets struck one house, and a popular deli also was hit.
I listened to this one on the scanner on Tuesday night. There was a report of a bag of money being dumped near Fifth and Oak.
