Yesterday, The Onion published a story about Congress literally taking a group of children hostage. Even though The Onion is a satirical paper, a lot of people were upset about the piece, which you can read here. (The subhed: "We Need $12 Trillion Or All These Kids Die.")
The Capitol Hill police felt it was important enough to issue a statement noting that it was just a fake news story.
