Christine Hemming, 53, was granted a 9-month suspended jail sentence for stealing the cat from the home of her husband's girlfriend.
Hemming was caught on surveillance tape taking the kitten from home last year. The cat has not been seen since. The cat belonged to the daughter of the lawmaker and his girlfriend.
