Again and again, the name of Markus D. Lee has appeared in police reports as a suspect in Kansas City homicides.
But today Lee’s name appeared on the other side of the ledger — the 27-year-old was gunned down in Kansas City, Kan., over the weekend.
Lee, who had been released from a Missouri prison just two weeks ago, was found shot to death in the 1000 block of Ann Avenue near downtown Kansas City, Kan. Police said they were called to the area about 6 p.m. Sunday and discovered Lee’s body. No other details were released and police asked anyone with information to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477 or the department’s major case unit at 913-573-6020.
