Lawmakers want to make fake maple syrup a felony

Lawmakers from Vermont and Maine want to make it a federal crime to fraudulently label a bottle as maple syrup. The punishment would be up to five years in prison. The bill is called the Maple Agriculture Protection and Law Enforcement Act.
