KC teen was city's 100th homicide in '11

Kansas City police have identified the city’s latest homicide victim as 17-year-old Rickey King. King, a Kansas City resident, was found shot to death Saturday night near 53rd Street and Prospect Avenue. A second person was wounded in the incident.

King was a senior at Southwest High, KCTV reports. KSHB reports that he was part of ROTC, Boy Scouts and Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church.
