Take note

C-SPAN founder to speak Brian Lamb, the founder of the C-SPAN cable service, will speak at the Unity Temple on the Plaza on Sept. 30. Lamb will be in town to promote Book TV, the new weekend-long program devoted to authors and literary events on C-SPAN2. Besides being head of the C-SPAN networks, Lamb has been host of C-SPAN2's author-interview program "Booknotes" since 1987. The talk is being co-sponsored by Rainy Day Books and the Plaza Branch of the Kansas City Public Library. Complimentary tickets are available at both locations.
