When DNA testing proved conclusively that Sam Sheppard had not, as he had always maintained, killed his wife, it was inevitable that a movie like "My Father's Shadow: The Sam Sheppard Story" would be made. The teledrama, airing at 8 tonight on Channel 5, stars Peter Strauss as the osteopath and Henry Czerny ("The Ice Storm") as the son orphaned after his father is sent to prison for murder. The story picks up in 1995 when the boy, now a troubled man in his 40s, reopens the case, seeking legal absolution for his long-deceased father. Also tonight, director John Boorman uses home movies and film clips to construct "Lee Marvin: A Personal Portrait" at 9 p.m. on AMC.
