Remote patrol

This week NBC has special reason to give thanks - "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" is taking a siesta. The ABC game show soundly trounced "Frasier" in head-to-heads earlier this month, the first time any ABC show had beaten an NBC non-rerun at 8 p.m. Thursday since 1983. A lineup of Thanksgiving-themed shows begins with "Friends" at 7 p.m. on Channel 41. Elliott Gould and Christina Pickles return as the parents of Ross and Monica (David Schwimmer and Courteney Cox Arquette). The episode relies mainly on a dessert recipe gone awry and a 10-year-old fib Ross told his parents about Chandler (Matthew Perry). In other words, typical sitcom high jinks in a pilgrim's hat. At 8, Bebe Neuwirth returns to "Frasier" and assumes a presence at the Crane household not unlike Frau Blucher in "Young Frankenstein." >>>
