Remote patrol

It's the first big ratings period for "Angel," the David Boreanaz vehicle spun off from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," and what better way to mark the occasion than having his and Sarah Michelle Gellar's characters appear on each other's shows? At 7 p.m. on Channel 62, Buffy (Gellar) and the gang must not only battle an old Indian spirit that's seeking vengeance but also the guilty suspicion that maybe the once-oppressed tribe has a point. Xander (Nicholas Brendan) contracts a 19th-century disease, and look what the cat dragged in - it's our old enemy Spike (James Marsters), now a regular cast member, on the run from a "fatal attraction." At 8 p.m., the story line picks up where it left off before the station break. Only now we're in Los Angeles, and Angel (Boreanaz) is fighting a medieval demon when, conveniently, in walks Buffy. >>>
