If you catch only one night of Ric Burns' exquisite five-night PBS miniseries "New York: A Documentary Film," make it tonight's Part 4, starting at 8 p.m. on Channel 19. It begins with the story of the Statue of Liberty's unofficial laureate Emma Lazarus - who never did get to see the Lady for whom her best-remembered poem was composed - and ends with the Triangle Shirtwaist Fire of 1911. In between, New York turns into a daisy patch of skyscrapers, as advances in architecture, coupled with Manhattan's firm tectonics, have builders aiming for the heavens. >>>
