That's the sobering perspective of the National Geographic special "Adventures in Time" at 7 tonight on Channel 41. John Lithgow narrates this compilation of past National Geographic specials focusing on the evolution of the Earth and the development of species to the present and even into the future. Some new scenes speculate on how humankind will evolve beyond the millennium.
