Take note

'Millionaire' tryouts The daytime version of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire," which will be launched this fall, is coming to Kansas City Friday in search of contestants. Tryouts will be from 7 to 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Town Pavilion downtown. There is no sign-up - just show up. Hopefuls will be escorted into a testing room in groups of 50 to 100 to take a 10-minute written quiz. Results will be determined quickly and select players will be asked to stay for a short interview. Contestants will be notified by postcard. Meredith Vieira is the host of the syndicated "Millionaire," which will air weeknights on KSHB, Channel 41. @ART CAPTION:Vieira @ART:Photo
