The good news is that a Kansas City pastry chef is one of five finalists for the "Food Network Challenge" this weekend.

The bad news is that she'll have to make an "Elvis birthday cake."

What better way to pay homage to the King of Rock n’ Roll than with an amazing birthday cake! Join Food Network for a rocking installment of Food Network Challenge on Sunday, January 22 at 10PM ET/PT. Viewers will watch five top cake decorators from around the country in a quest to create the most incredible birthday cake to honor Elvis Presley. With $10,000 on the line, the stage is set in the Auto Museum at Graceland and the contestants only have six hours to finish. These impressive works of art are at the hands of the following five contestants:

 

Flora Aghababyan (Las Vegas, NV) - Bellagio Hotel

Cheri Elder (Kansas   City, MO) - Classy Cakes

Duff Goldman (Baltimore, MD) - Charm City Cakes

Elin Katz (Beverly   Hills, CA) - Rosebud Cakes

Mike McCarey (Redmond, WA) - Mike’s Amazing Cakes
