Jimmy Kimmel: Not a potted plant

An ABC rep, feathers ruffled from our recent Conan-vs-Craig threads, writes to point out that its late-late talent had a fine month, too.

2006 February Sweep: ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live finished out the 2006 February Sweep as

§ the biggest gainer among Total Viewers

§ the only late-night entertainment talk show to grow its audience among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

Versus the year-ago Feb Sweep, JKL’s delivery increased by

§ 14% in Total Viewers,

§ 17% in Adults 18-49 and

§ 20% among Adults 18-34.

Jimmy Kimmel Live marked its most-watched February in 3 years (best since ’03, the show’s first sweep) and attracted its largest audience during any sweep period since November 2004.

Also worth noting:

§ Jimmy Kimmel Live surpassed Late Late Show’s deliveries of Adults 18-34 and Women 18-34. JKL was up Feb to Feb in these categories, while LLS was down year to year.

§ JKL pulled even with LLS in Men 18-34. JKL’s Feb 2006 deliveries were even with last year, while LLS lost viewers.

§ JKL also matched LLS’s deliveries of Women 18-49 and Women 25-54, with bigger year-to-year gains than the CBS show.

Please Note:  ABC’s February 2006 averages do not include its record setting post-Super Bowl numbers.
