Katie says bye-bye

While watching a NBC morning news program with actual news in it -- that wouldn't be "The Today Show" but "Imus in the Morning" -- I saw Katie Couric make her telepromptered announcement that she was leaving "Today" for two CBS programs, "60 Minutes" and "CBS Evening News" (in descending order of viewership).

Couric2 Couric3 Couric1

Here was my favorite part: where Katie is engaging in a seemingly informal moment with her co-anchor, Matt Lauer, then turns her head oh so slightly and then, zoop, the director changes cameras and she begins reading off the prompter again. It couldn't have been better choreographed if they did 20 takes.
