Radio x 4
I'm not blogging because I'm blabbing:
- First there was this bit of sound bitery for the Marketplace Morning Report, which alerted me to the grave peril of the Smithsonian's weirdly exclusive content deal with Showtime. I like the idea of bringing Smithsonian exhibits to TV, but these are raw materials -- why give Showtime the right to veto any indie filmmakers' request they don't like? (Here's an update on what went down today.)
- Then Chip Franklin called. Not podcasting there yet, but looks like I'll be contributing to his WBAL midday show when it expands in June.
- And then Paul Harris and I yammered about a lot of things. It's sweeps month, after all. Earlier in the day, Paul had a great Q-and-A with Bill Carter about his book, Desperate Networks
, which I highly recommend (the book as well as the podcast).
- Tomorrow morning, tune in at 10 Central -- it's time for my monthly session with Walt Bodine.
