CHER JOINS C-SPAN’S “WASHINGTON JOURNAL” WEDNESDAY AT 9 A.M. ET
TO DISCUSS “OPERATION HELMET”
WASHINGTON (June 13, 2006) -Cher is one of the guests on C-SPAN’s Washington Journal Wednesday from 9 - 9:30 a.m. ET to discuss “Operation Helmet,” an organization that is supplying troops in Iraq and Afghanistan with helmet liners to protect soldiers from head injuries.
Cher will be joined by Operation Helmet founder Dr. Bob Meaders, a Navy doctor who is raising private funds to support the project. Both guests will field calls from viewers. According to news reports, Cher donated $25,000 to his operation last month. More information on the project is available at www.operation-helmet.org.
