Cowardly but not chickenbleep
Matt and Trey had a lively session, most of which predictably revolved around the decision to put the Scientology episode of "South Park" back into the rotation. (It reairs next Wednesday.) We learned that Isaac Hayes stormed into the guys' office after the episode aired and spent two hours pleading with them to yank it, and when they refused, he left never to return.
We also saw Comedy Central boss Doug Herzog grab a microphone and challenge Trey to a duel for calling him "cowardly" in Daily Variety. Trey then clarified he was calling Herzog's decision cowardly ... referring to yet another cartoon that was shelved because it aired images of Muhammad at the peak of anti-Danish fervor. "Did we overact? Probably," said Herzog. Will you then agree to put the lost episode on DVD? Uhhhhhh, no.
We also learned that Parker and Stone have never lost sleep over anything they put in the show. But they have lost sleep worrying that they weren't going to finish that week's episode in time.
