Keeping up with the Bakkers

Kevin Murphy's story about the Rev. Jim Bakker's new TV series has been knocking around the internet all week. (Kevin's one of ours.)  But the TV show that most people reading this will likely be more interested in -- that is, if there is ONE television show this year YOU must watch about fundagelicals -- will be "One Punk Under God," a reality series about Jim's kid and his totally rad punkadelic ministry, Revolution, based in the Atlanta area.  I watched a 17-minute clip reel of "One Punk," which has a December airdate, and Jay Bakker must be seen to be believed. The film comes to us from the always entertaining World of Wonder, which produced the film "The Eyes of Tammy Faye," about Jim's ex, and about three-fourths of the original programming that the Trio channel ever aired.
