I agree that we all need to remember how the Government failed to help citizens of their own country in a time of a crisis. I still can't belive as I watch on television tonight, to see those people suffer like they did and to know that the government could of did a better job of getting food, water, medical attention, etc to those in need. I don't care what anybody says, somebody could of did something for those people. The Government should be ashamed for the way things were handle because I know I am ashamed for them. I live just below New Orleans and just to think that it could of been me, makes me buckle to my knees and cry. I have faith that one day New Orleans will overcome this, but it will take a while. People were mentally and phyiscally abused in my eyes, it is just sad to me how the government didn't see what was happening hours after hours. No matter what the can never repay those people for the hurt they went through because of their wrong doings. I don't feel it was a racial situation, I belive it was just lack of intrest of wanting to know what was really happening to the citizens of the United States. They didn't want to deal with it, they didn't know how to deal with, it was all too much for them. But these people had to deal with it. God Bless New Orleans and make it a home again for all the people who belong to it. God Bless our Government so that they have learned from this and help them to care for their own country as much as they care for others.
