AN ACTUAL CONTEST WITH AN ACTUAL PRIZE
TV Barn's TV Picks has a STEWART / COLBERT 2008 T-shirt (red, white and blue, of course) for you if you can guess in which state can be found this week's "Better Know a District" on "The Colbert Report." Put your guess (the state, that is) in the subject line of an e-mail to TVBTVP@hotmail.com. Winner will be selected at random from those who guess correctly. (If nobody guesses correctly, we'll punt.) Deadline for entries is today, Tuesday, September 19, 6 p.m. ET. Winner will be announced Monday.

8 p.m.
My favorite on "Dancing With the Stars" (ABC)? The girl from "High School Musical," which I suppose I shall get around to watching one of these decades.

Will "House" (Fox) assist a patient's suicide? Do we even have to ask?

Gibbs returns to "NCIS" (CBS). Because he's under contract for five seasons.

Case #13 holds a copy of Carrot Top's "Chairman of the Board" on DVD on "Law & Order: Deal or No Deal" (NBC)

Tara Reid and Ashton Kutcher star in "My Boss's Daughter" on ABC Family ... you're kidding, right?

"2006 World Series of Poker" (ESPN; also 9)

9 p.m.
An ex-ambassador's daughter is exed out on is "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" (NBC; new night). The prime suspect: Jamie Kennedy.

Will the ladies remain in Fort Griffith while "The Unit" (CBS) packs for Pakistan? Probably.

"Standoff" (Fox) tracks down an Asian crime lord's missing daughter. Jackie Chan really needs to check his voice mail a bit more, and not just for Jay Mohr.

Why are the citizens of "Eureka" (Sci Fi) going nuts? It's likely nothing to do with Howie Mandel.

"Secret Smile" (BBC America; conclusion)
"ET Presents the CW Launch Party" (CW)
"Dog the Bounty Hunter" (A&E; see also 10)
"Million Dollar Listing" (Bravo)
"Overhaulin'" (TLC) "Roadies Stole My 'Vette!"
"The Nominees" (Sundance)

10 p.m.
Why would a victim refuse a rape kit on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (NBC)? Why indeed?

"P.O.V." (PBS) profiles "Twelve Disciples of Nelson Mandela."

The Client: Michael J. Fox. The Defense: "Boston Legal" (ABC). The Charge: trying to purchase a lung.

Speaking of defense, "Dog [the Bounty Hunter]: The Family Speaks" (A&E) about their recent arrest.

NEW-SENSE
If you didn't watch NBC's "Thief" or NBC's "Heist," you might as well watch "Smith" (CBS) -- the Hallmark Hall of Fame TV-movie version of "Reservoir Dogs" as directed by Michael Mann.

How do you find a nanny your wife will like? If the men of "Desperate Housewives" couldn't figure it out, what do you expect of "Nip/Tuck" (FX)?

"Secret Lives of Women" (WE) who are Meth Addicts not watching "Breaking Up With Shannen Doherty" (Oxygen).

"REAL Sports With Bryant Gumbel" (HBO) finds out why no one on the football team seems to be anorexic. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

"Road Tasted" (Food): Maine
"The Contender" (ESPN)
"Queer Eye" (Bravo)
"ECW" (Sci Fi)
"Miami Ink" (TLC)

BABY, TALK TO ME
* Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi prods Charlie.
* Ben Affleck investigates "The Daily Show."
* Hopefully James Fallows has a better time explaining the U.S. pre-war plans for Iraq to Tavis than Dawn Ostroff has with the strategy for the CW merger.
* Frank Rich critiques "The Colbert Report."
* Patrick Dempsey, Jay Johnson & Darwin and Kasabian are dreaming of Dave.
* Justin Timberlake and Sarah Silverman are magic with Jay.
* Zach Braff, Xzibit and Joshua Radin give Jimmy one last kiss.
* Skeet Ulrich, Nora Ephron and Rodney Atkins (and maybe Larry Johnson) are sleepless with Craig.
* Conan O'Brien: Johnny Knoxville, Caroline Rhea, maybe Bonnie "Prince" Billy
* Rebecca Gayheart and Godsmack are a hit with Carson.

SACKED RELIGIOUS
As president of the Trinity Foundation of Dallas, he served on the board of and as columnist for The Wittenburg Door (a.k.a. "The Door"), and the televangelist mocking "God Stuff" is still available on video. Bloom can also be found mocking Redneck Nation as drive-in guru "Joe Bob Briggs."
