BBC World does indeed offer superior news coverage. It also helps that BBC originates in a country several time zones away from much of North America, so that they have live news coverage at a time when CNN, MSNBC, and other American cable news channels offer nothing but stale repeat programs.

By the way, in Canada, BBC is available on basic cable.

Happy July 4th.

Hello America,

British guy here. Hope you enjoy watching BBC World News America. Bias is a funny old thing. But as news gathering organisations and ethos go, the BBC is no bad thing.

Give us and chance, and think again about the commercial organisations who run your media, what interests do they have in selling you short.

The BBC is part of the solution, so long may it continue.

Justin
