Attention Time Warner customers — my ever sharp-eyed editor Ward Triplett was looking at the TV listings for this weekend when he noticed that Time Warner KC is shifting ESPN Classic from analog channel 35 to digital channel 205, next to ESPNEWS. A rep at the local office confirmed the move, though he didn't know
why Classic is getting the heave-ho, nor what will be taking its place at 35. But he did know that Fox Business Channel will arrive on digital at channel 232 in October.

ESPU comes to TWCKC on 8-30-07.
NFLHD is here now on 181 on Comcast.
BTN Placeholder channel was here on 255 on Comcast but is gone probley because Comcast can't agree to put it somewhere else other then the Sports Tier.
If you know of any other changes coming up post it.

TWC is just doing what Comcast did (equally as unceremoniously) awhile back. No explanation, no notice, just moved. Guess ESPNC is not the draw it used to be.

Basically, co-owner Fox and the Big Ten are telling Comcast that it's either analog expanded basic or nothing (and in Chicago, they're probably wanting channel 28, which has been blank since FSN Chicago went off--CSN Chicago is sticking at channel 37). Comcast won't move--but they are putting Fox Business on (not saying yet whether analog or digital).
The Trib actually editorialized in this the other day--too many Northwestern grads, if you ask me:

You can never have too many Northwestern grads.

Comcast is moving channels from Analog to Digital so it can free spaces up for HD Channels and so on.
Comcast and Everest have Weatherscan,TWCKC has Metro Weather,MYKSMOTV HD and KC On Demand and Comcast and TWCKC have Metro Sports.

I hope espnu moves to TW, so I can watch Iowa play this weekend. Has anyone heard if or where Big Ten Network will be on KC TV?
