"Prison Break" lawsuit: Judgment day
Two Missouri brothers, who staged their own daring escape from a brutal prison in the 1960s, think the Fox show "Prison Break" bore too strong a resemblance to a Hollywood treatment of their own story, so they sued the network and producers. This week, a ruling on the case.

I had to read the entire ruling to discover that the judge threw out the suit as there are only a couple of minor similarities to the plaintiff's story & manuscript!
This suit was garbage seemingly & solely designed to get some bleep-off money from Fox.
They failed, miserably!

Well, I thought I had made the point pretty clear that I didn't see the similarities they were claiming and that what would be, in my opinion, a lot better use of their time (or somebody's) would be making a based-on movie about these two. Fifty months on the lam at the height of Vietnam ... a real life Shawshank ... are you kidding me? What a story!
However, as the Hugheses have discovered, anyone can make that movie -- they can rely on the two stories in the Star. They don't ever have to pick up the phone and call the brothers. Perfectly legal.

A word to Garry ( the blogger ) Not sure who ( or what ) you are but you need to get a life...I would guess that you live with your mommie and have only dated a girl named " Rosie Palm " Why would you call our lawsuit garbage and insinuate that we were just after money ? Ever break your brother out of incarceration ? Rob a bank ? been in a high speed chase ? Faced down cops by posing as an FBI agent ? You have NOT read our manuscript and have no idea what you're talking about...We are going to publish our book and let "the court of public opinion decide" You need to just stay out of it and go to one of your "Star Trek" meetings...Oh---I AM Don Hughes
