The big day

I'll be with Walt Bodine today at 10 a.m. Central on KCUR. No doubt we'll get right into David Cook, who looks to seal the deal tonight on "American Idol." We'll talk, too, about what kind of season "Idol" has been having. If you aren't monitoring the zipper up above, here's the headline from today's paper:

Kansas City Star | 5/20/2008 | The year in "Idol"

Basically my theory is we should all be having so bad a year as "American Idol" had this year.

And that was just on the cover of the FYI section. Here's the page one story:

Kansas City Star | 5/20/2008 | They knew David Cook when

And:

Cook's future bright, uncertain

That last piece is by our man Tim Finn, who is in LA and will be reporting from the Nokia Theatre.

Also on Walt's show, we'll run down the top rated shows of the year (other than "Idol" of course) and look forward to the fall season. And we'll take your calls.
