Sun 'n' fun day

Why we're here

Mrs. TV Barn and I are heading off, as we have each of the last three years, for the Symphony in the Flint Hills, a lovely day of visiting the rolling prairie with the stocky hilltops of chert that define one of the great open spaces of America.

Sunday is a busy day in print for yours truly — a review of Planet Green's series on Greensburg, Kansas, and a profile of two rising cable stars, Rachel Maddow and Chuck Todd, and no, the timing of that article could not be worse. (Worse still, the section it appears in pre-printed on Thursday.)

I'll post Greensburg now and the MSNBC piece on Sunday or Monday.
