So I was on with Chip Franklin, as I am every Monday morning on San Diego's news-talk blowtorch:

And he asked me afterwards if I had ever seen "Corey vs. Corey," and I said I hadn't seen it at all. Later, I realized Chip was referring to "The Two Coreys," the latest show on A&E where the art of the bleep button is practiced 10 times a minute.
The two Coreys, as you might know, were in "The Lost Boys," which came out in the 1980s, years after it could have possibly been of interest to me. Now, like everyone else in Hollywood, they're trying to use the low expectations of reality television to kick-start their careers.
I watched an episode online, and so far as I can tell, the shtick in "The Two Coreys" is that they hate each other, but they need each other — and if you think about it, they can just keep milking that vicious cycle for episode after episode, at least for a couple or three seasons on cable.
"The Two Coreys" — maybe Chip was thinking about the jackass video game on A&E's website — is one of those shows that I'm going to start calling WTF-TV (how did I ever function before Philip Seymour Hoffman taught me the ultimate rejoinder?). I know somebody's watching shows like "The Two Coreys." But even allowing for irony and cringe value, I don't get how this show draws a crowd for the onetime home of Bill Kurtis and "Breakfast with the Arts."
So enlighten me.

Aaron,
You are so right! A&E is no longer arts and entertainment but rather pseudo-entertainment. Instead of interesting, intelligent, thought provoking and entertaining shows that had substance they have stooped to attract the "young" market of viewers that they think are watching the network. They have not figured out that the young viewers are hooked into You Tube, the web and pod casts and watch MTV and VH1 for reality tv. As far as I am concerned, the network is in the toilet!

I hope the show is not canceled. I think it's a good show. It shows the downfall of being a childhood star. Corey Haim is a good guy he's just going through the motions now if we could only be a little more understanding and not judgemental it clearly shows that Corey loves feldman to death he's just going through a rough time right now. I think if the show gets canceled we would never see them again I think the show will give them a break in alot of things please keep the show on. If you do read these Corey Haim I think your great. Corey feldman is great too. Corey hang in there get a great manager and get some work I know u can do it. love you always. P.S. Lost Boys was my favorite
