The cult of barack HUSSAAAAAAAIN obama is alive and well in the Heartland

ObamacaricatureI just noticed over at our sister blog, Prime Buzz, that a racist caricature of Barack Obama (left) is provoking much outrage in southern Missouri.

And that reminded me that I had taken video of a very similar protest sign that a farmer in southeastern Kansas had erected next to a highway at the edge of his property. The farmer didn't bother with the Sambo cartoon, but he certainly made his case loud and clear, as you will see below.

In case you can't see it clearly, the "TERR. DREAM TEAM" consists of:

BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA
REV. WRIGHT
TONY REZKO
REV. PFLEGER
LOUIS FARRAKHAN
WILLIAM AIRS [sic]

You know what? I think these protest signs are not only harmless but part of a looooongstanding tradition in American politics. I've said it before, you would have to go a long ways to beat the unofficial slogan of the 1884 campaign, "Ma, ma, where's my pa?" after Grover Cleveland was rumored (later confirmed) to have fathered a baby out of wedlock.

Anyway, I think a softer approach always works better than a harder approach, and I point to the brand-new Emily Graves attack ad, on behalf of her daddy Sam Graves, as Exhibit A.
