Conrad Black, the onetime press baron who swindled millions from the Chicago Sun-Times, is sitting in the pokey in Florida. Now he wants his ex-employer to pay for his legal bills related to a clemency plea from President Bush. If Black kept up on the news, he'd know W has issued fewer pardons than any modern POTUS.

1. “Daily Show” in Iran. I agree with critics who noted that Jason Jones's satirical remotes from Tehran and Qom before the election and crackdown could not have been more poorly timed. But as a launching pad for a serious discussion of Iran, it was another step into the world of real news — which is where the country's leading fake newscast deserves to be.
Fewer pardons SO FAR.
Who knows if "W" will follow in Bill Clinton's footsteps and have a pardon-a-palooza on January 19th? Wait and see.
