Thousandth Blu-ray title released

And it's Tinker Bell!

You think I'm kidding ...

1,000th Blu-ray Disc Title Announced in Time for Holiday Season

Blu-ray Disc now has 1,000 titles in release. The high definition format hit the milestone last week, marking a significant feat for Blu-ray, which now has film titles representing all genres of film, classic movies and blockbuster new releases. Of course, Blu-ray players will also play all the DVDs in your current collection and function as an up-converter - providing a picture which is far superior to a DVD player. It is truly the only player you will ever need.

Hollywood's major studios are unified in their support of Blu-ray Disc, which means movie fans can now choose from an extensive library of new titles and old classics, and experience the best way to watch movies at home. Ever. In addition to the wide variety of titles available, there are Blu-ray players from leading consumer electronics available for less than $300.

Some of the recently released titles on Blu-ray Disc include Tinker Bell (Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment), Journey to the Center of the Earth (Warner Home Video), The Incredible Hulk (Universal Studios Home Entertainment), Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (Paramount Home Entertainment), The X-Files: I Want To Believe (Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment) and Hancock (Sony Pictures Home Entertainment). Once film lovers realize that so many of their favorite movies are available on Blu-ray Disc, they too, will want to embrace the exciting HD packaged media.

(but wait there's more.......PR)

PRICES OF BLU-RAY PLAYERS HIT MASS MARKET LEVELS

New Prices Perfectly Timed for Busy Holiday Shopping Season

LOS ANGELES (November 18, 2008) - DEG: The Digital Entertainment Group released today a list of Blu-ray Disc players that will be available in time for the all-important holiday selling season at prices ranging from $300 to below $200.
