KTWU-TV PRODUCES ANNUAL AUCTION FUND-RAISER IN DIGITAL HIGH DEFINITION

KTWU-TV gets viewers ready for the federally mandated switch to digital television as this weekend's annual LIGHTS, CAMERA, AUCTION fund-raiser will be presented in the high-definition format.

Originating from the KTWU studios on the Washburn University campus, high-definition cameras will make the AUCTION event look better than ever. Viewers will be able to gather an ever brighter, clearer look at the many items up for bid this year.

Beginning tonight at 7 p.m. and continuing through the major donation sell-off Sunday night, thousands of viewers will tune in to KTWU to have a chance to bid on a wide variety of merchandise and antiques donated by local merchants and supporters of local public television.

Many items traditionally sell at bargain prices offering viewers a great start to holiday season shopping.

LIGHTS, CAMERA, AUCTION 2008 will air on KTWU digital television channel 11.1 in high-definition, digital channel 11.2, and traditional analog channel 11.

A list of the auction items for bid along with detailed descriptions of the major donations are available at the KTWU-TV website at ktwu.washburn.edu.
