If I remember correctly, it wasn't "soft" Corinthian leather; it was "rich" Corinthian leather.

I also was sure it was "rich Corinthian leather" until I heard the commercials this morning. I think I know why, though. I recall Johnny Carson used the phrase a lot and I'm willing to bet that he was the original "misquoter."
