"Taking Chance": HBO's eloquent argument for lifting the flag-draped caskets ban

Today on WBAL Radio, Shari Elliker and I talked about the longstanding ban on showing images of the flag-draped coffins of our fallen war dead at Dover Air Force Base, which I (along with these groups) think should be lifted ... and why the HBO movie this weekend, "Taking Chance," could change our thinking about how "the media" might use those images.

EARLIER: "Taking Chance" is based on a true story that was adapted for a PBS program, "Operation Homecoming," in 2006. I wrote about it as part of a larger writeup of the PBS series "America at a Crossroads."
