Anne Peterson signs with DHTV
Anne Peterson, one of Kansas City’s most accomplished television personalities, has teamed up with one of the area’s most successful television and video production companies. Peterson joins DHTV Productions with the dual role of Producer and Director of Business Development.
“We’ve been working on projects with Anne for years,” said Mark Honer, Executive Producer and President of DHTV Productions. She’s a gifted producer and storyteller. But what most people don’t realize is that Anne has a strong entrepreneurial spirit.”
Peterson is an Emmy nominated and award winning TV news anchor. During her 25 year career in broadcasting as a writer, producer, and on-air personality, Peterson and her co-anchor (Wendall Anshutz) held the honor of being the longest running anchor team in the country. Since retiring from KCTV in 2003, she has spearheaded numerous campaigns targeting health and wellness, an area she reported on for over two decades.
Peterson serves on several non-profit boards and is currently Co-chair of St. Luke’s Muriel I. Kauffman Women’s Heart Center Advisory Council, President elect of the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts Ambassador’s Program, and sits on the Executive committee for American Heart Association’s 2009 Go Red for Women Heart Luncheon.
Honer says bringing Peterson into the DHTV Productions family made sense on several fronts. “We help businesses and non-profit organizations tell their stories through their own web sites and web channels, said Honer. Anne’s storytelling talents and business savvy help her to quickly identify the critical message points for our clients. Then we work together to deliver those messages in the most cost effective manor. For non-profits, it’s all about conveying the heart and passion of each organization’s cause. Who better than Anne Peterson to tell stories from the heart.”
DHTV Productions has been a leader in the Kansas City television and video production industry since its formation in 1996 by former CBS News producer Mark Honer. DHTV has been recognized for production excellence by several national organizations, including the Telly Awards, Summit Awards, Aurora Awards and has received the highest award given by the Kansas City Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America(PRSA).
DHTV Production’s television projects include the nationally syndicated Destination: Hope, two seasons of the local business program, KC-B2B, and numerous local and regional TV commercials. DHTV’s amateur sports division, All Star Video Sports, produces local sports programming for its ‘web channel’ at www.allstarvideosports.com and last fall launched the television program, The High School Showcase.
