The I-man returns to Kansas City via RFD-TV
Over the years, morning shock jock Don Imus has been irreverent — it's his job! Since returning from his exile after his unfortunate observations about Rutgers University female athletes' hairstyles, however, the word irrelevant seems more apt. Not even an unfortunate choice of words about Pacman Jones last year — yes, another disparaging remark about a person of a different skin tone from his own pasty flesh — not even that raised more than a burble of interest on CNN, which will pretty much devote 60 seconds to anything.
At any rate, the I-man is back on the radio, and it is being simulcast, not on a big city-slicker service like MSNBC but the rural-minded RFD-TV, which has had a hard time breaking into urban cores. Now, thanks to Time Warner, RFD is coming to KC. As you will see in the announcement below, Time Warner is also picking up Smithsonian HD. You know, just to balance things out.
