Sarah Palin crashes Conan's show! Maybe SHE'S the new Oprah...
I'm telling you, Conan O'Brien is getting it done lately (well, except in the Nielsen ratings, but those will come around). Look who he just persuaded to do a walk-on ...
What I like about this clip is that it says something about both Sarah Palin and Conan O'Brien. It means she is willing to play ball with TV comedians that she thinks are willing to give her a break, and it means he isn't interested in taking any kind of political stance — he just wants to be the leader of the Silly Party.
You'll recall that William Shatner did word jazz last summer when the then-governor of Alaska gave her cryptic farewell speech. I can assure you that when Palin sits down to write another book, she's not going to say the things about Conan that she said about Tina Fey.
I don't think Dave is going to be able to lift that idea quite as easily as he did Conan's "I'm the new Oprah" a couple of weeks ago. You didn't hear about that? Here's Conan, November 20th:
And here's Dave, four days later:
(OK, his was funny, too. Still....)
