KC dating scene

I’m a white male, age 57, divorced since 1994. When I lived in Dallas, dating was not a problem. I moved here in May 2000. Long before any news media said Kansas City was one of the worst places for dating, I knew that.

I’ve been to singles’ dances such as PWP (Parents Without Partners) and Midwest Singles Dances. The PWP dances have shrunk in size. It seems they hardly have any members. The Midwest Singles Dances Web site now advertises that couples are welcome. At a singles dance?

One problem is that women go in groups to places where you could possibly meet them. They are too conservative. Or they have no intentions of getting serious again.

At least the women in Dallas were not afraid to try dating a man before passing judgment. In KC, well, judgment is passed immediately.

Is it frustrating? Yes!

Have I given up? Yes!

I guess people would rather have life pass them by. I would not, but KC gives me no other choice.
