Record preemie baby

The fact that a tiny baby (9.5 inches long, weighing 10 ounces) was delivered at 22 weeks and is going home four months later is amazing (2/22, A-6, In brief, “Preemie heads home”).
In Kansas, the mother could have legally destroyed her, by abortion, a day before she was born.
Are any pro-choice and pro-abortion advocates feeling a tug to change their stance on this issue? I would think they would.

Moreover

MOST opponents of abortion are more sympathetic to ending pregnancies when the child will be born to lifelong suffering or severe handicap. But when the mother decides it is inconvenient for her, it reeks of murder.

In their quest to deny women a choice, abortion opponents are reluctant (incapable) of considering a difference between life and the quality of life!

Just as I would not presume to know whether your life is worth living, I don't think a mother has that choice either. Maybe you work long hours at a job you don't like for too little money, that is a quality of life I deem not worth living. Seems that if it were up to me, I could have you put down.

Another unfortunate pawn for the religious right????

In their quest to deny women a choice, abortion opponents are reluctant (incapable) of considering a difference between life and the quality of life! The Florida “Preemie,” vulnerable to infection, reportedly has suffered respiratory and digestive problems, as well as a mild brain hemorrhage. Whether by age or accident adults are able to alleviate a fear of pain and further suffering with “living wills” --- Parents or a potential parent should be prepared and allowed to weigh the same decision for an unborn!
