Nutter, light rail

My memory is that though James B. Nutter Sr. says he is not opposed to light rail “per se,” he has opposed every light-rail proposal put to the voters of Kansas City, from the short downtown-to-Plaza line to the most recent airport-to-zoo line (8/7, A-1, “Petition could put light rail in jeopardy; The plan ‘does a lot of things that make no sense,’ a leader of the drive says”).

The Star should be able to let its readers know whether this is the case.

The Star should also let us know how much money he gave to candidates in the municipal elections this year and who he gave it to.

This information would be quite helpful as we evaluate the votes of our representatives.

I would ask the same of Clay Chastain. In fact, I would also like to know where he fills up with gas, what pharmacy he fills his perscriptions at and what he had for lunch yesterday. I just want to make sure that I know what this man really stands for.
