Library angel

We recently attended a wedding in the library at 10th and Baltimore. Since we arrived early, we drove around the block a time or two and then parked.

When we started for the car after the wedding, we walked the floors of the library parking garage in the heat, only to discover that our car was not where we thought it was.

We were exhausted and went to the street to get some fresh air when a gentleman walked into the library parking garage. We told him of our problem.

He said he worked at the library and parked his pickup in that garage. He said would drive through and find our car.

Well, we think he went through two or three parking garages in the area and then returned to tell us he had found our car in a garage a block up the street. Then he walked us to the car and, since the automatic lift didn’t work, he waited to make sure these elderly ladies got out.

He didn’t have wings, but we know this gentleman was sent to us to rescue us in our distress. We will be forever grateful for his kindness.

So, did they give him a little for his efforts?
