Smith, Hall photos

It broke my heart to see the smiling face of Kelsey Smith placed immediately beside the grim face of her accused murderer on page A-4, in the Saturday, March 15, edition of The Star. How much more painful must it be for her family to see this?
Seeing their photos arranged this way makes me think about their alleged encounter. I suspect it causes Kelsey’s family to do the same.
Seeing a photo of this lovely young woman by herself makes me think about all the positive things we’ve learned about her.
Out of respect for the families of victims, would it be more considerate to position such photos in separate areas of such articles? Kelsey may have spent her final moments in life with this sad individual, but must she live on with him by her side?
