Clark Coan (4/19, Letters) says that every American should be entitled to Medicare. He thinks Rep. Dennis Moore should co-sponsor Bill HR 676, which says exactly that.
Without massive tax increases, this bill, if passed, would bankrupt the U.S. and would effectively make all Americans dependent upon our federal government. This is socialism, exactly what our Founding Fathers pushed away in our Constitution.
Karl Marx would be proud if this passes. I will urge Rep. Moore to vote against HR 676.

How did the actions of people inside capitalist market places become a form of socialized heath care?
“But at least it's not "socialized medicine"!” - jack
[Eyes roll] Oh, never mind.

Almost half the National Debt has been run up since George W. Bush took office. 75% of that time the Republicans controlled both houses of congress. Since Republicans are the "responsible" party, this must some how be the Democrat's fault.

AS per our current President, we already have universal health care. Just take that child with the sniffles to the emergency room. Yes, it's the most expensive possible method of dealing with it. But at least it's not "socialized medicine"!

We have been bankrupt as a country since they started keeping records. Fact!
Just look at the US Treasury website and it will show that we have NEVER been in the black. ALWAYS spend more than we have.
It's called UNACCOUNTABLE government and WEAK SHEEP society that will not do anything to get government compliance but place bumper stickers on their cars and rally around bogus political gangs.
They take Soc.Sec. and medicare dollars and burn it up on whatever they see fit for themselves and their gang.

Medicare is a scam. The government makes you pay for it while you work for decades, spends that money on frivilous special interests and then makes you pay a Medicare premium when you retire. What a deal.
